I am a Fine Art Photographer and a Beekeeper's Wife. This gives me a great opportunity to get up close and give a personal insight into both Commercial and Backyard Beekeeping.
The Rise of Beekeeping
Driven by the concern over the Pollinators' diminishing numbers, the ease of starting a hive, and a Back-to-Nature Movement, Beekeeping is on the Rise!
And it seems it is everywhere from the Save the Bees Campaigns to the Backyard Bee Movement. And it is not just Rural . . . Urban Apiculture is Booming. The Backyard Bee or Back-to-Nature Movement is also the next Sustainability Trend.
Beekeeping is also a Buzzing New Health Trend
Not only are Bees and Honey fantastic for the environment – Bee Products are great for us too!
We have all heard of Manuka Honey by now . . . But soon the lesser known Kanuka Honey may be as huge in the Skincare Industry as it's not so distant cousin. There is also Bee Pollen for Nourishment and Allergies . . . Royal Jelly for Anxiety and Insomnia . . . And Beebread for the Immune System.
